Aureon's direct connection to Limelight Networks enables improved access to prime internet content

Fast and reliable access to online content is key when it comes to an excellent streaming experience for Clients. Aureon is pleased to announce that our network now connects directly to Limelight Networks.

Limelight Networks is a Content Delivery Network (CDN) – delivering a faster response and better experience through a geographically distributed group of servers that work together to move content closer to the users that access it. Limelight’s edge services platform removes the barriers to the highest quality online video experiences and edge-enabled workflows, accelerating the next generation of real-time, interactive and immersive content.

Limelight has partnered with many content providers including Roku, Starz, Marvel, Lionsgate, Fox, Pokémon, Allianz, and more - providing Aureon’s Clients improved performance when accessing high-quality content distributed by multiple companies.

This direct connection enables Aureon Clients to have faster access and reduced latency when accessing the Limelight Networks served content. In addition, this new feature further enhances Aureon’s Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) offering by adding to the list of benefits which include network reliability, redundancy, and support. The direct connection to the Limelight networks joins a growing list of Aureon direct connections, which includes Netflix, Apple, Akamai, Facebook, Twitch and others.
