Since January 2015, small and large businesses have been strongly encouraged to migrate those server applications to an updated offering which will provide a more secure environment. While support for these products has gone away, bad actors who attempt to infiltrate your systems hasn’t. The harsh reality is that due to the end-of-life for these products, no further security updates are offered and businesses with these outdated products are unprotected against new cyber threats.
Upgrading servers will provide your organization better security with added reliability and fewer critical bulletins and reboots. In today’s COVID-19 environment, security is critical as there have been an increase in pandemic-related cyber attacks and phishing attempts. Leaving your devices exposed to these security threats can severely impact your data and infrastructure with nowhere to turn.
By migrating to a new Windows operating system, businesses can immediately expect:
- Decreased security risks
- Better performance and efficiencies
- Improved operational support
- Opportunity to take advantage of cloud computing (which is extremely valuable as evidenced by recent work from home impacts of COVID-19)
