About Prostate Px

If you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and are considering surgery as a treatment option, Prostate Px will benefit you. Prostate Px, is a test that is ordered at diagnosis and provides physicians with objective and useful information.

Prostate Px is designed to assist patients and physicians as they discuss the range of possible treatment options. Prostate Px uses patient biopsy tissue to provide a unique personalized perspective, enabling more-informed decisions at diagnosis.

Once the test is ordered, your biopsy tissue sample (no additional biopsies are required) is sent to Aureon and analyzed. After analysis, a personalized report is sent to the physician to be used for discussion with you.

How Prostate Px differs from other tests:

Prostate Px utilizes a personalized and patented approach to assessing individual risk. Prostate Px utilizes your initial biopsy sample to analyze your tissue with state-of-the-art computer-imaging technology. After our pathologists identify specific areas of interest in your tissue samples, our computer-imaging technology systems capture images of your cells and identify unique features within your tissue sample such as the types and quantities of specific cells and their relationships to one another. We then combine our computer-imaging findings with advanced mathematics, molecular biomarker analysis and your clinical information to assign you an individual risk score. You and your physician can then use the information gathered from your test to make more informed treatment decisions.

Prostate Px is based on patented technology and is the only test that combines multiple layers of data based on your tissue to provide an idea of your outcome post therapy. In a head to head comparison in our data, Prostate Px is 233% more accurate than Gleason score at identifying patients with life-threatening, high-risk cancer.
