We are looking for a highly-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented individual to assist in Financial Statement and Budget/Forecast preparation. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for reviewing general ledger entries and reconciliations, assist in month, quarter, year end close and assist with other projects as needed.
Tasks Include

Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes

Assist in financial statement preparation, including calculations of company metrics

Assist with budget preparation and monthly actual vs. budget variance analyses

Assist with assessment of internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas

Provide assistance to external audit functions including preparation of audit schedules
-
Ad-hoc assignments and special projects.
Required Qualifications/Background:

BS/BA in Accounting. CPA a plus.

5-8 years of accounting experience. Public and private background preferred

Strong MS Excel skills required

Experience in analyzing and evaluating data

Competent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail

Strong general accounting skills including Close, GL, AP/AR, Payroll

Excellent communication and organization skills
-
Team player orientation. Ability to interface with all levels within the organization and external parties.

A high degree of confidentiality required

Must be a self-starter, goal oriented, cooperative, and have a high energy level

Advanced Excel experience. Experience in manipulating complex financial models a must

Proficiency in the following software or systems: MS Office, knowledge of Great Plains or another accounting software package preferred
