Primary responsibilities include medical imaging algorithms research and development, system design, and software development. The candidate must be experienced in the analysis of optical and/or fluorescent imaged tissue samples.
The candidate will work with pathologists and other medical imaging professionals to formulate novel methodologies and algorithms in the measurement of morphological and histological properties of cancer tissue. The candidate will use his/her experience with optical and immunofluorescent microscope and camera systems to account for hardware and other optical and mechanical variations in captured images. The resulting images shall be enhanced or transformed as required followed by the segmentation and classification of biologically significant structures. Develop programs as required to enhance or supplement in-house software libraries and applications.

Who is Aureon?
Aureon Laboratories is dedicated to enabling the advancement of predictive and personalized cancer treatment by performing diagnostic reference laboratory and clinical research services. Aureon Laboratories incorporates Systems Pathology, a method that predicts individual clinical outcomes by analyzing molecular biomarkers within the context of tumor morphometry and clinical observations.
Our current offering, Prostate Px+, is a new prognostic test for newly-diagnosed prostate cancer patients and their physicians, which predict from their biopsy tissue how severe their disease is and the likelihood their cancer will recur if they opt for surgery. This information provided at diagnosis enables more informed treatment selection and appropriate counseling.
